I am very honored and excited to be part of this blog. My name is Cindi and I am the mother of 8 year old special need twins.
A little background information; they were born at 25 weeks and Nicholas weighed 1 lb 1 oz and Natalie weighed 15 oz. They spent 4 months in the NICU with all kinds of complications. None of that matters anymore. They are now two of the most extraordinary kids I know.
Our diagnoses include Cerebral Palsy, ASD, (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ODD (oppositional defiance disorder), ADHD, OCD and anxiety. We are very busy all the time. I am a nurse and my husband is a New York City bus driver. We work opposite shifts in order to take care of our kids.
We are involved in TAPA, Anchor, Boy scouts and Girl Scouts. Natalie loves “girl time” with mommy and Nicholas LOVES music especially drums. I will be blogging on our everyday lives which is the norm to me since I know no better. Look forward to chatting to everyone in the TAPA blogs.
